The Walka Wani Aboriginal Corporation was established on 11 November 2011 to administer land on behalf of the Eringa native title holders. The determinations arose from a number of applications lodged with the national native tribunal from 1998 to 2010.

The determination recognises the Eringa people’s rights and interests to approximately 14,740 square kilometres of land in central northern South Australia. The determination recognises the non-exclusive native title rights to access, hunt, fish, and camp, gather and use the natural resources, undertake cultural activities, conduct ceremonies and meetings, and protect places of cultural and religious significance.

In conjunction with the consent determinations the SA Government and the Eringa and Wangkangurru/Yarluyandi claimants will enter into an indigenous land use agreement (ILUA) with pastoral lease holder in the area regarding the co-existence of native title and pastoral lease activities.
