SANTS is the Native Title Service Provider for South Australia under 203FE of the Native Title Act 1993 (cth) and has performed this role since 1 July 2008. We assist Aboriginal people in South Australia to have their native title rights and interests recognised and protected.
We also deliver a range of services to support Aboriginal Nations to achieve their social, cultural and economic aspirations and become sustainable entities. Some of our current services are anthropological research and community liaison, negotiations and determinations logistics, training in governance and natural and cultural resource management, community, organisational and economic development services, financial and human resource services.
What does your community want to do?
Lodge a claim for native title recognition
We provide legal representation and guidance to native title claimants. We have extensive and proven experience in South Australian native title legal claim work. We coordinate funding for native title claims managed by external legal services.
Lodge a claim for compensation for loss of native title rights
We provide legal representation and guidance to native title claimants, including for compensation claims. We have experience in South Australian native title compensation work Legal Services
Negotiate with external bodies over issues related to your country and/or native title rights
We provide legal representation and guidance in many matters relating to native title rights.
Resolve disagreements within your group or with others
We provide dispute resolution assistance, including mediation services and agreement-making assistance
Collect information on your group’s history, traditions and customs to share your story or support a claim
We have expert anthropologists who can undertake research and provide advice on historical records and archives

We offer flexible corporate and community development services to support native title groups as their organisation develops. Our services can include governance training, financial management training, strategic planning, assistance with community leadership and consultation initiatives and assistance with identifying economic development opportunities

SANTS currently provides human resources support to Aboriginal nations. This can include recruitment, employment contracts, performance reviews, dealing with staff disputes, managing industrial relations and workplace health and safety
Gain publicity for your organisation’s achievements and increase your community's profile
SANTS has an established and respected in-house media presence that is available to Aboriginal nations for publicity. SANTS operates a weekly radio program that airs across Central Australia, a printed quarterly newspaper Aboriginal Way that reaches 10,000 people in South Australia and an online presence that is engaged in the SA Aboriginal community.
SANTS Communications staff can provide advice and implement media publicity campaigns to match your particular goals or events. These campaigns can include pitching to mainstream media as well as using SANTS owned media
