This week the Federal Court recognised that the Nukunu people are native title holders over a large area of South Australia around the city of Port Pirie. On the program we hear from the emotional Federal Court determination hearing which was held in the small town of Port Germein on the coast at the top of the Spencer Gulf.


Suicide prevention for the city

​A community forum held at the SA Museum has heard that the city of Adelaide needs a strong suicide prevention network specifically to support Aboriginal people.

​In this week's program we hear from the Chair of the National Native Title Council Jamie Lowe. He says that with much native title settled, it's an era to work towards wealth creation, hand back of resources and a journey to true reconciliation. He also says that we are seeing real progress in agreement making and that hope is the only way forward.


Culture, truth telling and the arts

​A prominent South Australian leader has called for support for a Centre for Aboriginal Culture and Arts, saying that Aboriginal people must have a venue for truth telling about their displacement to enable South Australians to properly understand our shared history.
