A decade of delivering native title services

SANTS celebrated ten years of work as an independent organisation delivering native title services in South Australia in July 2018.

Native title representative body functions in South Australia were initially the responsibility of the Native Title Unit of the Aboriginal Legal Rights Movement. In July 2008 SANTS was recognised as the Native Title Service Provider for South Australia.


Injunction defers Kimba Nuclear Waste ballot

The Supreme Court has issued an injunction restraining the Kimba Council from posting out ballot papers about a National Nuclear Waste site.

The ballot was scheduled to start on Monday but Barngarla Native Title holders argued they should all have a vote in the ballot and their exclusion is contrary to the Racial Discrimination Act


First Nations Voice sent to Committee

​The Federal Government’s Joint Select Committee on Constitutional Recognition relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples has toured the country and heard from individuals and organisations interested in the future of constitutional recognition.

An interim report was produced by the Committee in July and a final report is due by the end of November 2018.


Notice of Wirangu Authorisation Meeting

South Australian Native Title Services Ltd (SANTS) invites all Wirangu native title claimants (the proposed native title claim group) as described in this notice to attend a meeting to authorise a new native title determination application.


Navigating native title since 2008

In July 2018, SANTS celebrates a decade of working with Aboriginal Nations towards native title recognition and sustainable Aboriginal Nations.

We thank Anangu artist Elizabeth Close for this beautiful artwork created to commemorate our 10th Anniversary. It is called "Ngayalu Ngura", "My Country, My Home".


SANTS acknowledges that the land on which our office is based is the traditional lands for the Kaurna people and we respect their spiritual and cultural relationship with their country.
