Notice of Kaurna Authorisation Meeting

An Authorisation meeting for proposed Kaurna Native Title Claims will be held at Tandanya Cultural Institute on Saturday 25 November 2017.

Members of the existing and proposed Kaurna Native Title Claim Groups, as well as people who think they might be a Kaurna person, are invited and encouraged to attend. Full official details of the meeting notice follows.


New native title claim for the South East of SA

Native Title claims for areas in the South East of South Australia have been approved by community members and lodged by SA Native Title Services (SANTS).

The First Nations of the South East Claim #1 and #2 cover areas near Keith to the coast and across to the Victorian border, including the towns of Mount Gambier, Penola and Lakes Bonney, George and Eliza.


Students find their way on the Kokoda Track

A group of high school students who walked the gruelling Kokoda track recently discovered the untold stories of South Australian Aboriginal servicemen, their own resilience and leadership capacity and the power of music for reconciliation.


SANTS acknowledges that the land on which our office is based is the traditional lands for the Kaurna people and we respect their spiritual and cultural relationship with their country.
