At the launch of a 50c coin created to celebrate Australian Indigenous languages with 14 different language words for 'coin' in the design, Professor Jaky Troy says that the situation for the survival of Australian languages is “pretty dire” and that that we stand to lose half of the world’s Indigenous languages within the next 50 years.
