About SANTS
The South Australian Native Title Services Ltd (SANTS) is the Native Title Service Provider for Greater South Australia. SANTS was recognised as such by the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs on 1st July 2008. SANTS is the approved body to carry out those functions of a Native Title Representative Body as detailed in s.203B of the Native Title Act 1993.
The area for SANTS operations include those lands and waters within the SA State Borders and those waters adjacent to South Australia’s coastline.
SANTS native title operations are predominately funded by the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA) with the SA Government providing assistance with ILUA Negotiations and other activities associated with South Australian Native Title Resolution (see www.iluasa.com ).
